Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United Kingdom HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf Al Saud received yesterday a number of Future Global Leaders at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in London. During the meeting, His Royal Highness the Ambassador spoke on the importance of the role that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plays in strengthening the capabilities of its youth nationwide through foreign scholarship and sponsorship programs.
He said: “The Kingdom spares no effort in empowering and supporting Saudi students in some of the best educational programs around the world, and it will continue the work it started to refine their skills and knowledge and provide them with the requisite global expertise to keep pace with today’s challenges and make them active and productive individuals in preparation for their return back to their home country.”
His Royal Highness the Ambassador continued: “The Saudi economy and society are entering a new turn in the Kingdom’s path to development in the aim to reduce its dependence on oil, diversify sources of income to benefit from opportunities for growth presented by the knowledge economy, and reinvigorate the Kingdom’s own resources—particularly human resources—which are considered the most important capital held by Saudi Arabia.”
Comments and questions by the visiting Future Leaders that focused on the Vision 2030 plan put forth by HRH The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Commenting on these questions the Ambassador said: “The policy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was reflected in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s approach. His passion and determination in his role, as well as the vigor of his youth, has provided us with an ambitious vision that has outlined milestones on the road towards the future. The Kingdom is also preparing to take on more important regional and global roles.” Prince Mohammed said that the Crown Prince’s vision places the Kingdom on the path of change while also taking into account its status and enduring roots in the Arab and Islamic worlds and its unique position for Muslims worldwide in recognition of the Kingdom’s custody of the Two Holy Mosques.
The Ambassador commended the approach that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman implemented to execute Saudi Vision 2030, demonstrating openness to all constructive viewpoints, underlining that, since its announcement, Vision 2030 has been open for general discussion, additions, and improvement, and every Saudi citizen—particularly among the Kingdom’s women and youth—is invited to engage with the Vision.
